Company Profile :

Rajasthan Industrial & Scientific Corporation was set up in August 1964 to manufacture domestic water meters. It was later converted into a partnership firm in June 1987.

The unit is located in Jhotwara Industrial area, developed by Rajasthan State Industrial Development Corporation Ltd. (a state government enterprise)

It is situated 2 km off the National Highway No 11 (Jaipur- Bikaner), around 7km . from Jaipur Railway Station and Central Bus Stand and around 25 km from Sanganer Airport .

It has the distinction of not only being one of the oldest domestic Water Meter manufacturer in the state of Rajasthan with a good track record but is the first one in obtaining license for manufacturing domestic water meters as per IS : 779, later the company has also obtained license IS : 2373 for manufacturing spiral Water meters (Bulk type) . These meters are equivalent to ISO : 4064 part 1 ( 1993).

The firm has casting facility , sufficient number of lathe machines , Drilling machines , Power press , Hand press , Hobbing machines ,Shaper machines, Milling machine universal and other tools to achieve the designed production .

Tools room (maintenance & research department) has the Lathe machine, shaper , milling machine and horizontal surface grinder to take up the design activities. The firm manufactures domestic type water meters in 15 mm size single jet and 15-20-25-40-50 mm size multi jet type conforming to BIS specifications is 779 :1994.

Spiral water meters ( bulk type) in 50-80-100-150-mm size conforming to BIS specification IS 2373 :1981. The firm is also manufacturing industrial meters for measuring liquid hot water oils etc. The industrial meters are available in 15mm to 150mm sizes.

The firm has sales locations in major cities and agents to look after at other places . It also supplies water meters and its components to P.H.E.D Rajasthan ( Jaipur),Nagpur Municipal Corporation ( Nagpur), Gujarat Water Supply and Sewerage Board, Gandhinagar ( Gujarat ) and Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai. The firm is professionally managed. The Managing Partner of the company has a long and rich experience in the line of water meters manufacturing. The firm has also obtained ISO-9002 certificate on February 2000, for its quality management system . In April 2000 the firm had collaborated with M/s Sappel , a technically developed French Company.
